Empowering Universities to Achieve Excellence
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) has launched the UTeM Strategic Plan (PSU) 2026-2030 based on the theme of Empowering Universities to Achieve Excellence.
The development of this UTeM Strategic Plan takes into account various major policy documents at the national level, the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), the Malaysian Network of Technical Universities (MTUN), the Melaka State Government and the university's internal strategic documents and of course also revolves around the Malaysian Higher Education Plan (RPTM).
PSU 2026-2030 is formulated with 5 main strategic thrusts consisting of Strategic Thrust 1 (ST1): Championing TVET, Excelling in Careers, ST2: Empowering RDICE, Sustaining the University, ST3: Empowering TUAH TEJA, Enhancing Graduates, ST4: Empowering a Vibrant Ecosystem, Making the World Well and ST5: Empowering Branding, Excelling in Prosperity.
MyMoheS 2025
UTeM Recognized By MyMoheS With A Full 5-Star Score
Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) continues to demonstrate continuous excellence, which this time UTeM has received recognition by achieving a full 5-star score in the Public University Data Collection System (MyMoheS) rating for 2025, recently.
MyMoheS is a measurement, assessment and recognition carried out successfully by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) for all public universities in the country.
UTeM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Ts Dr Massila Kamalrudin, said this is an encouraging achievement that presents a clear picture that the data management and reporting system at UTeM is at a very excellent level, transparent and complies with the standards set by the KPT and nationally.

For your information, the use of the UTeM Silver Jubilee "25 Years" logo ended on 31 March 2026. The use of this logo on official letterheads and all printed or digital promotional materials has been discontinued effective 1 April 2026

Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) was established on 1 December 2000 as the first Technical Public University in Malaysia. Located in the state of Melaka which is recognized as a World Heritage City by UNESCO in an area of 766 acres complete with all facilities and surrounded by greenery. As a Focused University, UTeM focuses on the fields of engineering, ICT and technology management. UTeM has always maintained its reputation as a generator of human capital with extensive expertise in technical fields for the needs of the high-tech industrial sector. Research areas at UTeM also emphasize areas that are identified as being able to increase UTeM's unique credibility and able to enhance UTeM's reputation as a technical university such as Green Technology, Systems Engineering, Human-Technology Interaction, and Advanced Technology.
